Tequila Sunset - A Tribute to Disco Elysium. In this project, I re-created the room in which the detective of the game, Harrier Du Bois, is temporarily staying in while he is solving a murder of a hanged man. He has however gotten a little distracted from this task and has had quite the party.

Disco Elysium has become one of my favorite games of all time and I wanted to see how this scene could look in a first person perspective. As you can see in the comparison, things aren't exactly 1-1, but adapting an orthographic scene into 3D and maintaining good scale isn't the easiest or the best looking sometimes, so a few changes were made.
.
Jean Zoudi was generous enough to lend me his Harrier Du Bois fan art for the scene which really brought the space to life. Check out his original post here - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/n0JElX

The scene is almost entirely made by hand, although I did use megascans to fill in a few gaps, and I also used some artwork from the game for things like the polaroid's and the paintings on the wall as I'm not nearly as good of a painter as Rostov. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback throughout, the scene did take about 8 months and it would definitely have taken longer without you guys, as well as to ZA/UM and the original creators of Disco Elysium!
